How to apply your InkClub tattoo
A few careful minutes make all the difference. Here is the simple routine from clean skin to the finished look.
Start with the right spot
Choose where the design will sit before removing its protective film. Hold the artwork against your skin and check its direction in a mirror. For lettering or detailed linework, a moment spent checking the angle can save you from placing it upside down.
Clean the area and let it dry completely. Avoid applying over lotion, oil, sunscreen or damp skin. If this is your first time using the product, patch test first; stop using it if your skin becomes irritated.
Place, wet and press
Remove the protective film and position the tattoo face-down on your chosen spot. Once it touches the skin, try to keep it still. Wet the backing evenly and press for about 30 seconds, including the edges. Then peel the backing slowly rather than pulling it away in one quick motion.
The design can look subtle at first. Its natural-looking colour develops over the next 24 hours, so give it time before deciding how the final result looks.
Let the design settle
Avoid rubbing the area or applying oils while the design develops. Normal wear varies with placement and care; InkClub designs can last up to two weeks. When you are ready to change your look early, use an oil-based cleanser to help remove the design gently.
